The Wall, Place Monge
I always say that I could be in Paris 1000 years and never feel full of it. Part of that is because there is simply too much. I had completely forgotten about Place Monge and Rue Mouffetard and all the good places there are to go out in that area until stumbling on it again recently.
I also rediscovered Desperados, and I’ve decided I don’t care if it’s an unpopular opinion, I think the beer/tequila flavor is delicious.
There are also plenty of places in that area for after-hours food. We got shawarma and it was actually authentically Lebanese, (which is rare to find here,) and delicious. I broke out my rusty Arabic to exchange a few words with the owners. It was nice. J’ai peur que je vais perdre mon arabe, le plus que je m’améliore en français.
I look like a total goober in these photos, but that’s alright. I was drinking beer outside and not cold and pretty happy about it.
