In Paris

Charlie is everywhere, and Paris could not get any more united.

The marche républicaine was today at 3 p.m., and with 2 million people rallying, you could feel the presence of it no matter where you were in the city long before that. I walked from Notre Dame to République with floods of people around me, walking, eerily, silently, on the pavement and the streets.

It felt quieter than normal. It was solemn, it was united, it was history in the making that I will never forget.
