Dessins de Studio Ghibli

Finally got around to checking out the Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli exhibit! As a huge Miyazaki fan grown up, living in Paris while this exhibit was going on felt pretty close to what I imagine winning the lottery would feel like.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the 5 year old in me (and 10. and 15. and 22 year old, fine) was very pleased. My favorite childhood film, Totoro, everywhere!

They had all his original drawings. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t supposed to take pictures, but I did anyway, so hopefully I won’t be getting sued for this post. I fan-girled pretty hard, going through the entire exhibit twice. At the end you could have your picture taken and drawn in placed next to Chihiro and a No-Face during the bus scene in Spirited Away, which they would immediately e-mail to you. Too cool.
